Armenian Beer Chart

I've only found a few Armenian beers, but I have in fact found the majority of them (there is perhaps one more still to find). There seem to be only two breweries in Armenia - Abovian and Yerevan - located in towns of the same names. They brand their beers, respectively, Kotayk and Kilikia. The best Armenian beer is, at the time of writing, Yerevan Kilikia Dark, a European-style dark lager with a molasses flavour and very easy to drink.

I actually found all these beers in one place on the same day, in the Califorian town of Carlsbad (not far from San Diego), in a place called, quite appropriately, the Armenian Cafe. I was very impressed with the quality of all these Armenian bottled beers. Even the light lagers had a spectrum of flavours that made them excellent examples of their respective styles. I probably won't rush to Armenia just yet to try their beers, as I don't think I'll find many more, but I'll strive to try these ones again, as I was very impressed.
